Marianne Nowottny
 Seventeen-year-old Marianne Nowottny, who titled her first album "Afraid of Me", is nothing if not attitude. But an interview she gave to gURL.com shows the sweat behind her stance. Asked when she started making music she said, "I tried around fourteen and learned around fifteen. I always hummed. Lyrically, I've kept a poem booklet since seventh grade. Now it's a set of six composition notebooks."
 Afraid of me? I don't know about her boyfriends but the competition better look out.

Bob Dylan to Sing at HS Prom ... Not
West Orange HS Prom Committee chair, Barbara Moskowitz, writes to correct a story we ran last issue. Barbara doesn't know who supplied the info, but Dylan was not in fact invited to sing at the prom.
